Wiki Background
[Personality]
As a child Laxus was very cheerful. He was open about his emotions, his admiration of his grandfather and his hope to join Fairy Tail. As he grew and became a powerful mage Laxus started to become resentful of his grandfather because, no matter how hard he tried, he was always only seen as “Makarov’s grandson” and that was what people attributed to his success. That, and Laxus’ father (Makarov’s son) having been excommunicated from the guild for something Laxus didn’t know about/understand. All Laxus wanted was to be seen as his own person and to have his family whole.
This feeds into when Laxus is first introduced. He is constantly making despairing remarks about the guild and how the actions of “Gramps” and the lack of discipline of the other Fairy Tail members are an embarrassment to the guild. Laxus hates this, the perception that Fairy Tail is full of people who laze around, break buildings cause a ruckus and don’t act seriously. Laxus has even went so far as to attack his whole guild and home town to “weed out the weak” and take it over to make it into something that couldn’t be mocked and ridiculed. Later on, after being excommunicated because of attacking Fairy Tail, Laxus seems to come to terms with how he still loved Fairy Tail, including all its eccentricities (even though he’d rather not be dragged into them).
“Even if you can kill Gods, it doesn’t mean you can kill Fairies too.”
Laxus can come off as cocky. He knows he’s strong, and he knows he can beat a lot of the people around him if he pleased. He has earned the right to be an “S-ranked” mage of Fairy Tail (and they're known for having high standards in S-class mages), one of four not including the Guild Master, supporting and feeding this superiority. He also has a reputation that precedes him as unfriendly and aloof in regards to others, which he is perfectly fine with cultivating. Not many people have enough esteem in his eyes to warrant an ounce of respect, recognition, or to be in his 'Godly' presence, most especially random people on the street. This often results in people running when he makes his presence known, or even members new to the guild to fear approaching him. When Laxus relearns his appreciation for Fairy Tail and its members, naturally his 'family' becomes an exception to this view he has, in part because Fairy Tail's members are not "weak" in his eyes. Eventually, once a member of Fairy Tail (because he's likely not to socialize with many others outside of it unless they're fighting, smack talking, or are in his way) gets to know him, he can be very protective over them and show he is actually a warm person, just awkward at showing he cares.
"I ain't got a clue what your goal is, but I'll hold you responsible for hurting my friends! […] My family is Fairy Tail! I will crush my family's enemies!"
Laxus can be thought of as a stereotypical “big brother” figure. He is all for teasing those he cares for but if he catches someone else teasing them, even if it’s the same sort of teasing he was doing, he will electrocute them. He will go against anyone that that hurts his adoptive-true family, even if that person is his flesh-and-blood father. In summary: don’t hurt his family if you want to live. What made Laxus remember and acknowledge his love for his guild was how, when he cast ‘Fairy Law,’ nothing happened. Deep in his heart he loved his guild (his family) and no amount of wanting it not to be mocked and to be reborn anew would make him be able to destroy it.
Laxus, while still a protective person, likes to goad those that oppose him. Even if it’s a fight with a guild member, he has used blackmail and cutting words to help gain a psychological advantage in the heat of an argument or battle. This often cruel behavior, along with his already powerful techniques and will to win make him a force to be reckoned with in battle.
Laxus was remarked upon by an older guild member to "be in a rebellious stage" when he declared war on Fairy Tail. This is rather true. Despite being in his early twenties, Laxus was rebelling against the way the guild, and thus his life and those he interacts with's lives, are operated. He was lashing out at imaginary injustices against himself with no idea that he might be wrong in his view, that the things outsiders say weren't true (his power was Makarov's influence alone), that his guild didn't have something wrong with it simply because they were laid-back, or that Makarov had a very good reason for banishing his father. With Fairy Law reading what was true in his heart, his comrades' actions acting as a fierce wake-up call and having a large period of time to stew on these revelations, Laxus left his rebellious stage and entered into a much more level-headedand only slightly more mature, but hey it's a Fairy mind set, where he can be found today.
[Abilities]
Laxus is a master at Lightning magics and most of his magic is based around it. There is a limit to how much magic Laxus can perform, depending on how powerful the magic is, how often he casts it, and if there is electricity/lightning he can eat to replenish his magic. For example, certain abilities he has such as Fairy Law or his Lightning Palace may only have a one use limit and a diminished area they can effect. His other less widespread magic techniques would similarly take more energy to use in Somarium when compared to his home world.
Lightning Magic
Raging Bolt
Lightning Palace
Lightning Body
Lightning Eruption
Lighting Flash
Thunder Bullets
Lightning Storm
Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic
Lightning Dragon’s Roar
Lightning Dragon’s Heavenward Halberd
Lightning Dragon’s Breakdown Fist
Dragon Force
An advanced stage of Dragon Slayer magic where the user gets more powerful.
Thought Projection
Can project his thoughts to others, generally through an illusion.
Organic Link Magic
Links two objects together; what happens to one happens to the other.
Fairy Law
A magic unique to Fairy Tail; it is an ultimate "deterrent" magic that attacks anyone the caster truly wants to hurt from the bottom of their heart. It makes a set with Fairy Glitter (Ultimate attack) and Fairy Shield (Ultimate defence), the other two Fairy Tail-specific spells.
Laxus is also proficient in hand-to-hand combat, and has very good durability, strength, endurance, and reflexes.
Full list of magic and abilities.
[Other important stuff]
Carries around magic MP3 player and headphones, his favorite songs are Classic Rock and Roll.
Gets motion sickness when on vehicles (because of being a dragon slayer).
Eats lightning/electricity to replenish his magic → if he eats anything other than electricity he gets sick because it and his magic aren’t compatible.
His Fairy Tail tattoo is on the left side of his chest, with a larger design coming outward from it.

[First Person]
If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not?
Of course I would go back. It’s a place full of lunatics, but it’s home. And I was right in the middle of showing those scum that Fairy Tail is a force they don’t want to mess with. [Frustrated growl]
What disgusts you the most?
Weaklings thinking they can mock my guild. [glare]
What pleases you the most?
When people realize they can’t hold a candle to mine or Fairy Tail’s might. [smug grin]
If you could have any super ability, what would it be and why?
Why would I need a new ability? I can kick your ass any day as I am now.
You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response.
[Scoff] What kind of question is that? I’m not like those guys; I take my missions seriously.
You just got a challenge to fight from one of the strongest gang leaders around. Do you accept or reject? Why?
[cocky smirk] Bring it on. I’d like to see them try to beat me.
Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do?
I'd kick their ass for thinking they could try. [Laxus is not amused]
There is a cake in the rain. What do you do?
Make sure Erza isn't there to think I did left it there. There are certain people you just don't mess with.
Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life?
[chuckle] Haven't you heard? Life is meant to be one big adventure. [He's mocking you questioner-man. Moooocking you.]
Am I asking too many personal or strange questions?
[Deadpan look and voice] What do you think?
Can you surpass God?
[Laxus turns more sober in his answer] I almost did. It has very high stakes to achieve... [he visibly snaps out of his revelry] Not that I'm just going to tell you about that. [Not his fondest or proudest memory ever, he thinks.]
Some angry birds come to you to help them defeat some evil green pigs. Do you help them out?
Am I getting paid? If not, they can find some other sucker.
What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Okay that's it. I'm leaving. [He is done humoring this person.]
[Third Person]
You've been in Somarium for some time and are out exploring. Choose one (or more) of the following settings: 1) a field full of aggressive scarecrows, 2) the forests of the floating mountain, 3) down by the lake, 4) somewhere in the streets of Somni. Remember to use the setting and the NPCs to your advantage. Have the character interact with the environment, or be reminded of home.
Laxus had been at the bar he frequented for a while when he realized what had been bothering him. It was a pang for home. He normally wasn't at the bar at this time of day so he never knew how much like Fairy Tail it could become. That, and the Fantasia Parade would have been this week, according to the calendar he checked this morning.
….He tried to eradicate his guild one year ago. He tried to kill his family.
The whole web of thoughts tied to that one statement was very painful.
Laxus was so lost in that thought that he hadn't even noticed that he tensed, or that he was gripping his mug of ale hard enough to break it. And only when it inevitably broke and the barmaid came over concerned about glass in his hand did Laxus snap out of it. Sparks flying around his body was enough to deter the barmaid and other patrons from getting too close to him as he stood, almost sending his barstool crashing into the floor.
Before all these people tried to stop him, Laxus grabbed his things, left the bar, and went to go destroy something to distract from these wretched memories.
Half an hour later, his purposeful stride has brought him to a field. Not just any field, but the one with the malevolent scarecrows. It was deserted of anything but said scarecrows.
Perfect.
Marching stiffly out into the field, Laxus planted his feet, took a deep breath and roared. The noise and the ensuing increase in electric charge certainly got the scarecrows’ attention, the ones that hadn’t been mowed down by his Thunder Dragon’s Roar, that is. Laxus just grinned and got ready to exhaust himself and these feelings (regret, sorrow, bitter, bitter self-loathing) he wasn’t going to admit to having at the moment.
Another hour later found Laxus leaving the field scuffy and stiff from exertion, more than ready to drink his fill and sleep away the rest of the day.
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Laxus is a great brother to Fairies and Somarium is my awesome home game that I love endlessly. And I wanted to play a Dragon Slayer from one of my favorite manga with my friends.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] You must always obey the overlord. They decide your fate.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?]Do I have to answer this everytime I app someone? It doesn’t change. From Enny my eternal KHR buddy.
[Any questions?] Why am I enabled so easily?
